Last Friday, I attended the inaugural graduation of 51 doctors from Curtin University Medical School.

The Coalition Federal Government and State Liberal Government provided funding for this school in 2015, six years later we see this fabulous outcome with graduating doctors heading to rural and regional areas.

Congratulations to all the graduates! 🎓

The ladies participating in Yirra Djinda served up some delicious food at today’s launch of the Prison to Work Program.

This pathway to employment program provides dedicated cultural support and training for Indigenous women over a 16-week period.

The Morrison Government in conjunction with state governments is committed to supporting tangible training and employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians on release from prison as they transition from incarceration to employment.

Congratulations to the ladies on their achievements. I look forward to hearing success stories in the near future.

There’s some great innovative work coming out of Sevenoaks Senior College.

This morning I met with some of the year 12 students engaged in an engineering class in their new STEM academy.

I was inspired to see our youth in action using the technologies and new equipment from a federal government grant 🤖 📚

The Morrison Government is committing $2.7 billion

The Morrison Government is committing $2.7 billion towards METRONET projects across WA.

This major investment includes $133.8 million towards the High Capacity Signalling project. Procurement for this project has begun, with Expressions of Interest opening today.

This project involves replacing ageing signalling and control systems with a new advanced systems allowing trains to operate more frequently 🚊

The year 5/6 students at Curtin Primary School enjoyed showing me some of the things they have been learning during my visit this morning.

Thanks to funding I was able to secure, the school was able to purchase new iPads to enhance students’ learning.

It was great to see the kids so engaged creating high tech videos. Many students couldn’t wait to show me how they are benefiting from their new equipment in the classroom 📚 💻
